Being a designer, having opinions and ideas are essential for success. Unfortunately, having opinions and being opinionated are two things that can be hard to separate. Moreover, coming from a medicine background, I’ve been conditioned to think critically and analytically. So with fear of being alienated by friends and colleagues because of my critical opinions, I figure blog therapy is just what the doctor would have ordered. Also, this is perfect, since my mind is constantly rambling on with one thought or another, a blog is a great outlet.
DesignDialogue.org was a web site I had originally setup to relay information to my clients. It just seemed natural to extend that idea and turn this into a blog. The information is still accessible, just in blog form. DesignDialogue.org, besides being a bouncing wall of reasoning, it is a way for me to catalog and convey my understandings and ideas on design and construction.
